The cost of a hosted E-Blast is $25 for FSW members (student, full, life and sustaining) and $50 for non-members. Payment must made online before the blast is sent.

The Flute Society of Washington, Inc. reserves the right to refuse to send a Hosted e-Blast for whatever reason FSW deems necessary. Each customer (and their agent) is responsible for obtaining all required permissions and/or licenses to use any of the content of their e-Blasts. FSW may require that a customer submit copies of such permissions and/or licenses along with e-Blast content. All customers (or their agent) assume responsibility for the contents of their e-Blasts, and agree to indemnify FSW from any and all claims and expenses arising therefrom.
The Adult Amateur Convention Performer Competition is for flutists, over the age of 25 (as of February 1, 2020), who study ﬂute only as a hobby and reside in a Mid-Atlantic state as defined above. Applicants must not regularly receive income from playing or teaching the ﬂute and not hold or be currently pursuing a degree in ﬂute performance or music education above the bachelor's degree. Flutists will be selected on the basis of their recorded audition to perform at the convention. All works for flute and keyboard must be recorded using both instruments. Some flutists, at the discretion of the committee, may also be selected to perform other works. Staff accompanist will be provided at no fee to the selected performers.

Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention
Guest Artist Master Class Competition 2020 Application
Flutists of the highest caliber will be selected to perform in the class at the Convention. Music written for flute and keyboard must be recorded using both instruments. Flutists performing on the 2019 guest artist master class are not eligible to participate in the 2020 master class.
Student Master Class Audition 2020 Application
Young flutists will be selected to perform for the class, taught by local artists and teachers, at the Convention. The class is open to all students in grade 12 and under. Music written for flute and keyboard must be recorded with both instruments, piano or music accompaniment track. Flutists who performed in a student master class at the 2019 convention are not eligible to participate in the 2020 class.
Mid-Atlantic High School Flute Choir Competition 2020 Application
The Mid-Atlantic High School Flute Choir is open to all high school students in grade 9-12. Members of this choir are selected on the basis of a recorded audition. The choir will rehearse during the Convention weekend, beginning Friday evening, culminating with a concert. Selected choir members are required to be in attendance at all scheduled rehearsals over the weekend, no exception. Music written for flute and keyboard must be recorded with both instruments, piano or music accompaniment track.
The Collegiate Soloist Competition is for outstanding flutists, under the age of 28 (as of February 1, 2020), who are enrolled as an undergraduate at a college, university, or conservatory located in a Mid-Atlantic state, or have their residence of record in a Mid-Atlantic state as defined above.

Young Artist Competition
The Young Artist Competition is for outstanding flutists, under the age of 30, who have completed an undergraduate degree at a college, university, or conservatory. Cash prizes ($1,000, $750 and $500) will be awarded. Previous first prize winners are not eligible to participate. There is no residency requirement.
Competition 2020 Application
This competition is for outstanding flutists in grade 12 and under, who attend school or are home-schooled in a Mid-Atlantic state.
