Traditional Irish Flute & Whistle
CCE(Comhaltas Coeltoiri Eirann)  MAD(Musical Arts & Dance) Week
 July 5-9, 2010
Washington Waldorf School, Bethesda, MD

You are invited to join us at CCE (Comhaltas Coeltoiri Eirann) MAD (Musical Arts & Dance)
Week 2010, where you can have alot of fun and learn more about traditional Irish music from Isaac Alderson & Laura Byrne - two extraordinarily talented performers and teachers of traditional Irish flute and whistle.
Classes are designed for beginning and intermediate/advanced flute and whistle players who have studied for two or three
years and are familiar with traditional Irish performance styles.   Wood flutes preferred but silver flutes and whistles will serve well too.

Classes are taught traditionally - by ear.   Tunes of various types (reels, jigs, hornpipes, aires, etc.) as well as different regional styles will be presented and explored.   Musical notation and recordings of all class tunes will be made available to all online.
Each full time registrant will receive a half-hour private lesson as part of the package and can participate in a number of mid-day elective classes including bodhran (Irish drum), Sean-nos or set dancing, Celtic crafts, singing/song circle, sessions, and ceili band coaching.

Early discount deadline extended to May 15th.  All paid registration received or postmarked by May 15th will receive $45 discount off  the $395 tuition for the week.
